HOW ARE THE PROFITS USED?
All profits raised through these annual fishing derby's go into funding the sports, culture and recreation programs in Montreal Lake Cree Nation. Montreal Lake sports, culture and recreation also sponsor urban athletes and artists in the various activities they participate in throughout the year. Some of these programs include:

SOCCER – PRINCE ALBERT HOUSE LEAGUE

The PAYSA Technical Director also goes to Montreal Lake once a month to train Under 11 players interested in soccer for the coming year. Recruiting to get more athletes in the future.

Under 17 Boys – 4 players
Montreal Lake sports, culture and recreation finds volunteers to drive each team to practice / games all week/weekend. Each trip to Prince Albert is about $250.00 for mileage/gas and food for the athletes/coach.
Majority of the money raised through the 50/50 draws go towards funding MLCN Education. Funds are distributed between the classrooms and are put towards their year-end class trips.
